Pastor Garry Matheny trusted Jesus Christ while in the US Navy after realizing that he was a sinner in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ. While in the Navy he served as a saturation diver on the nuclear submarine USS Halibut (587) where he received the Legion of Merit for Operation Ivy Bells. It was while he was on this special op that he surrendered his life to service the Lord full time.
Pastor Garry Matheny and Nancy were married in 1979.
In 1979 Pastor Garry received his bachelor's degree from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College. After college Garry & Nancy moved to Washington State where Garry served six years as an associate pastor under Pastor James Nolan. Then in 1986 they were sent out to start the Bible Baptist Church of Poulsbo WA where they served till the church was self-supporting. In 1991 they were sent out as missionaries to Romania and stayed 30 years starting churches and a Bible Institute. Garry has authored eight books and produced two Christian films on Amazon Prime and three Christian platforms (see "ABOUT" above).

A traditional King James Bible church with the purpose of Ephesians 12:4 "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" The church is for building up the believer, a place to serve the Lord and encourage one another. 
In Israel there is a beautiful Sea called the Sea of Galilee, full of fish and one can drink water from it. But there is also the Dead Sea with no fish, and no one can drink its waters, yet both seas are feed by the same Jordan River. What's the difference? The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth and because of this it has no outlet and is polluted with nine times more salt than the ocean, it rightly earns its name the Dead Sea. But if the Dead Sea had an outlet, it would clean itself and eventually have fish in it. A Christian will only grow so far in the Lord and then stagnate if he does not have an outlet, a place to serve the Lord. A church should have encouragement, comfort, sound teaching from God's word and a place for one to praise the Lord, invite others, and be light for Jesus Christ.
